Allumeria Bosses: All Three, Summons and Strategy

The three fights, in order

Each boss is the gate to the next biome, and each one drops the tool that opens it. There is no optional boss and no rematch requirement — beat one and its content stays open.

Forest Spirit — 200 health, 2 defence

Summon: an Ominous Deer Skull, crafted from 10 Skull Fragments at a workbench. The skull is also guaranteed in the Forest Chest at the end of the forest dungeon, along with the forest pickaxe. As of Early Access 0.15 the Forest Spirit no longer spawns naturally, so summoning is the only way to fight it.

The fight: it summons three Deer Shields, spawns hostile mobs — Wizards among them — and throws Deer Skulls that hit for 10. The shields are the reason a knockback weapon helps: the Frying Pan’s 120 knockback and 30 block are genuinely useful this early, and the Thorn Blade’s poison out-damages its 18 on the tooltip. If you die, the boss despawns rather than staying summoned.

Drops: Blessing of the Forest ×1, Health Potion ×5, Flower of the Forest ×1–3, and a Forest Key.

The 0.15.3 change worth knowing: Forest Keys no longer drop from anything until the Forest Spirit is dead. Guides written before 31 August 2026 will tell you keys have a 20% drop rate from forest enemies — that was true, and it is not any more. The boss now genuinely gates the dungeon rather than being skippable.

Snow Spirit — 200 health, segments at 50 each

Summon: it lives in the arena inside the Snow Dungeon, under the snow biome. The wiki’s dungeon page still uses the alpha-era names for the summon items (“Big Snowballs” and an “Evil Tophat”); the 0.15 patch notes list a Big top hat and Big Snowballs among the snow dungeon’s loot, so treat the naming as in flux and the items as the same ones.

The fight: Infinimelon describes it plainly — the body is made of four pieces, it attacks by picking up one of those pieces and trying to crush you with it, the piece it is using is the weak point, and destroying each piece defeats the boss. The wiki lists the boss at 200 health with segments at 50 each, which matches four pieces.

Before you go down there, deal with Freezing. Standing in cold water, in the snow dungeon, or on permafrost applies it, and patch 0.15.1 raised freezing damage from 8 to 30 damage every two seconds. The counter is the Frozen Heart trinket — ice cap mushrooms, cobalt and a heart beet — which is also the “Cold Hearted” achievement. Armour does not help here.

Drops: Gold Token ×1, Health Potion ×5, Diamond ×5–10, and the ice pickaxe, the next tier up and the only way to mine palladium.

Desert Worm — 2500 health

Summon: unlock the final area of the desert dungeon — the multi-floor tower in the middle of the desert — and activate the summoner. The worm spawns outside in the open desert and can fly.

The fight: it splits into three segments at 50% health, which is when a fight that felt like a damage race becomes a positioning problem. 2500 health is more than ten times either spirit, so this is where the palladium tier and the Armoured Potion (buffed to 12 defence in 0.15.1) stop being optional.

Getting to the summoner is its own puzzle: the desert dungeon has locks and keys, key parts, spawners that keep producing enemies while you are above their level, and a purple fire extinguisher/starter pair for shutting those spawners down — extinguishing the altar collapses part of the ceiling. The dungeon guide covers the layout.

Drops: the Nightmare Blade, a batch of copper tokens, and the De-Wormed achievement.

What the wiki has not caught up on

The official wiki’s monsters page still opens with “There are currently 17 monsters in the game, 2 of which are bosses” and has no Desert Worm row in its boss table — the Worm has its own page and its own Steam achievement, which is where the numbers above come from. Its boss table also predates the desert biome entirely. Full stat tables, including every regular monster, are on our monsters page.
